The Somnath Temple, located on the western coast of Gujarat, is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. This sacred temple is renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and spiritual significance. It has been rebuilt multiple times over the centuries due to invasions and natural calamities, standing as a symbol of resilience and faith.
Famous for religious spots, Girnar Hills is located in the Junagadh district of Gujarat. The ancient temples at the Girnar Hills add religious and cultural importance to this land.
What makes Girnar Hills special?
The Girnar Hills are millions of years old. When you visit the hill, you will see rock-cut stairs, which were carved more than thousands of years ago. When you climb up the stairs, you will reach the peak and you will get a bird's eye view of Junagadh. You will experience India’s rich culture and heritage with every step you take on the Girnar Hills.
A place straight out of the Jungle Book, the Gir National Park is home to more than 38 species of mammals, 37 species of reptiles, and much more. Gazing at the dense forest, listening to the songs of birds, and witnessing the majestic Asiatic Lions is all about the jungle Safari in the Gir National Park.
Day 1: Thursday
Board the train from Kalyan or Vasai for Junagadh. Overnight journey on the train

Day 2: Friday
Gujarātamāṁ āpanuṁ svāgata chē! (Welcome to Gujarat!)
You will reach Veraval by 16.30. After reaching Veraval, you will head toward the hotel and check in.
Fresh up and get ready for Divine Darshan of Somnath Temple. Head back to the hotel and retire for the day.
Day 3: Saturday
Good Morning!
Today, we will explore the Girnar Hills. Check out from Somnath and Move towards Junagadh.
There are approximately 8000 stairs leading to the top of Girnar Hills, each step takes you closer to spirituality and unfolds inner peace. 8000 stairs sound tiring for some participants and hence, We will take a ropeway to cover the first part.
You can cover approximately 5500 steps by ropeway. You can quench your thirst with some fresh lemon juice on the way. You also grab a quick bite if you are hungry, as there are stalls on the way.
After reaching the top, you will visit the Guru Dattatreya Temple. This temple is right on the top of the Girnar Hills and is known to be one of the most ancient Datta temples in India. It is said that Lord Datta performed penance on the top of the Girnar Hills. As you enter the temple you will be, captivated by the positive flow of energy in this temple.
After the visit, you return to the hotel and rest for the day.
Day 4: Sunday
Wake up early today as the most awaited day is here.
You will reach the boarding point of Gir National Park by 3.30 AM-4.00 AM. The Safari will begin around 6.30 AM and will get over around 9.30 AM.
You might also spot other uncommon birds like Pygmy Woodpeckers, Brown Fish owls, and wild animals like Lions, Gir Foxes, Indian leopards, Jungle Cats, Golden Jackals, Indian Grey Mongoose, Striped Hyenas, Ruddy Mongoose, and many more. With such a captivating view, the Gir National Park Safari helps you explore the wilderness of the deepest parts of the Gir forest.
After the Jungle Safari, you will return to the Junagadh. The boarding time of the Veraval-CSMT Saurashtra Janta Express will be at 13.00.
Day 5: Monday
You are expected to reach Mumbai by 5.45 AM.

1. WHAT WILL BE THE PROCESS AFTER I MAKE THE BOOKING?
Glad to have you aboard! If you have made the booking from the website, you’ll receive a confirmation email soon. In case you have paid the booking amount by NEFT or UPI, make sure to send an email to mailtrikon@gmail.com with payment details and traveler’s details. 7-10 days before the event, you’ll get a message from our team regarding the balance payment. A WhatsApp group will be created 4-7 days before departure where all the details regarding the tour will be shared.
2. WHAT WILL BE THE AGE GROUP OF TRAVELERS?
At T Trikon, we believe age is just a number if you are willing to explore and connect with the world. We don’t generally put any age restrictions; just being young at heart is what we expect. Though, on average, we have travelers between 30s-50s in our groups.
3. CAN I JOIN THE TOUR AS A SOLO TRAVELER? HOW WILL I BE ACCOMMODATED?
Yes! All our tours are solo traveler-friendly, and many solo female travelers join our tours.
- Solo travelers are generally accommodated on triple sharing basis. Most properties provide an extra mattress for the third person.
- If you’re looking for single sharing, connect with our team before booking to know the extra charges.
4. WHAT WILL BE THE MODE OF TRANSPORT FOR LOCAL SIGHTSEEING? CAN I GET A SPECIFIC SEAT IN THE VEHICLE?
The mode of transport varies by destination. Depending on group size, it will usually be Ertiga/Innova or a Tempo Traveller.
- In destinations like Sikkim, it will be multiple Innova/Xylo, as Tempo Travellers cannot operate on certain roads.
- For destinations like Hampi, local transport such as auto rickshaws (tumtums) will be arranged due to narrow lanes and rough roads.
Seating arrangements are not fixed. Guests are requested to rotate seats for everyone’s convenience. If you have health issues like back pain, please inform us in advance, and we’ll try to reserve a suitable seat for you if available. Senior citizens or specially-abled guests will be given preference in such cases.
