Rajasthan, The Land of Kings, will touch the souls of its visitors due to its rich cultural history from the very first glance around.
Udaipur:
Dubbed as "the most romantic spot in India" by British administrator James Tod, Udaipur is a popular tourist destination and is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces. It is popularly known as the "City of Lakes" because of its enthralling lake system thanks to five of the major lakes, namely Fateh Sagar Lake, Lake Pichola, Swaroop Sagar Lake, Rangsagar and Doodh Talai Lake.
Jodhpur:
Known as the Blue city, Jodhpur is the most visited destination in Rajasthan, thanks to the gigantic Mehrangarh fort where some scenes of Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani was shot it makes your visit worth-while. Café hopping and exploring several havelis is a must thing to do.
Jaisalmer:
Jaisalmer is named after Rawal Jaisal, a Bhati ruler [failed verification] who founded the city in 1156 AD. Jaisalmer means the Hill Fort of Jaisal. The main reason for calling Jaisalmer as the "Golden City of India" is because the yellow sandstone used throughout the architecture of both the fort and the town below, imbues both with a certain golden-yellow light.
The places mentioned above unfold a few of the many mysteries which this state conceals. “This Incredible State of India” can best be termed the most historic and cultural of all in India. It is not surprising that it portrays India in its true colors, of classicism, and of art, and of diversity.
