Located in Pimpri, in Tamhini Ghats of Maharashtra at an altitude of 2160 feet, at Andharban trek, you are in for spectacular views that are soothing to the eyes and therapeutic. Pimpri village is 16 km away from Pune. Hence, you can easily catch a flight and train to Pune if you are travelling from outside Maharashtra. If you are from Mumbai, you can easily find multiple trains and bus options at a convenient time. You can drive to Lonavala, which is 50 km away from Pimpri.

An unexploited trail a few years ago, but very much in demand and at the top of every hiker's bucket list today, Andharban’s trek distance is a 13 km trail (5 to 7 hours hike) with a moderate difficulty level. The best time to take this trail is pre-monsoon or monsoon (June to September) or winter (October to January).

The Andharban Jungle trek starts from Pimpri Dam, and it is advisable to begin the Andharban trek early at sunrise. The initial hike is a walk through the flat lands. On your way in the woods, you will be accompanied by poppy fields and farms, beautiful patches of blooming flowers such as lilies and several waterfalls and ponds. You can even plunge or walk through these water streams – Kundalika Valley while trekking through Andharban forest will not disappoint you.     Fitness & Health

    Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands a good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over-the-counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
